A Braselton Project: One Glass Installation, Two Door Configurations

A primary bathroom in Braselton pairs a soaking tub with a separate steam shower, and the glass had to bring both together as one composition. A double-door entrance leads to the tub, framed by an extra-wide transom above it and finished in brushed gold hardware. A few feet away, a single-door entrance leads into the steam shower, its own transom operable rather than fixed. Read the full design story behind this project →

The shower's transom opens and closes, closed to contain steam inside the enclosure, open when containment isn't needed, the detail that makes this a functioning steam shower rather than a standard enclosure with a transom for visual effect. Double doors, a separate single door, fixed panels, and two different transoms all had to come together as one continuous glass installation, with tolerances close enough that both operable systems function correctly after installation.

Frameless Showers in Braselton

Apex designs, fabricates, and installs frameless glass shower enclosures for Braselton homes, custom-measured to the exact opening. Glass options include standard clear, low-iron/ultra-clear, and optic-white glass, with hydrophobic coating and hydrophobic glass available for easier maintenance. Shower glass is typically fabricated in 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch tempered glass, depending on panel size and configuration, with hardware finishes selected to match existing bathroom fixtures.

Glass Railings in Braselton

Apex installs glass railings for interior staircases and level changes throughout Braselton, with mounting styles that vary by application, post-mount, base-shoe, and standoff systems each suit different stair and landing conditions. For exterior applications, Apex installs glass railings for decks, front porches, patios, and pool enclosures, where patio and pool applications call for different mounting and code considerations than a standard deck or porch railing. Railings are typically fabricated in 1/2-inch tempered glass, with options including standard clear, low-iron/ultra-clear, and bronze-tinted glass.

Glass Partitions in Braselton

Apex designs and installs residential and commercial glass partitions for home offices, conference rooms, and business build-outs throughout Braselton. Glass options include standard clear, low-iron/ultra-clear, and bronze-tinted glass, fabricated in 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch tempered glass. Partitions can be built completely frameless for a minimal, open look, or with a black metal grid frame for a more defined architectural feature within the room.

Working in Braselton

Braselton sits at the intersection of four counties, Jackson, Barrow, Hall, and Gwinnett, a growing North Georgia community that has drawn steady new residential construction alongside its historic town center. That growth brings the kind of detailed, design-driven bathroom and outdoor renovation work reflected in this Braselton steam shower project, homeowners investing in more involved architectural glass rather than a standard, off-the-shelf enclosure.
