The Apex Standard in Every Installation: A Frameless Glass Shower in Canton, GA
Apex Glass Industries installed an ultra-clear frameless glass shower with ShowerGuard protection, offset hinges, and polished nickel hardware in Canton, Georgia. It’s a standard linear layout, and the choices made inside it show how Apex approaches a shower of any size.
Material Selection: Ultra-Clear Glass and ShowerGuard
This shower uses ultra-clear tempered glass. Standard clear glass has a green tint that shows most along exposed edges. Ultra-clear glass reduces that tint, which is why the edges of these panels read as clear instead of green.
The glass also has ShowerGuard, a protective treatment intended to help reduce staining and make routine cleaning easier. It isn’t maintenance-free, but it’s a practical choice for glass that gets wet every day.
Hardware Details: Offset Hinges and Polished Nickel
The door hangs on offset hinges, selected for this door configuration. The hinges and the rest of the hardware are polished nickel, and matching towel hooks carry the same finish into the bathroom. Coordinating the hardware this way means the shower reads as
one planned installation instead of parts added over time.
From Measurement to Installation
Apex handled this project from field measurement through fabrication and installation. A frameless enclosure has no frame to hide small variances in the opening, so each panel is measured for the actual space and fabricated to those dimensions before it is installed.
The Apex Standard
The same knowledge and installation standards apply to a single shower and to a larger architectural glass project. Glass selection, hardware, measurement, and installation are all part of the work, whatever the size of the job.
Apex Glass Industries is licensed, insured, and backed by a five-year workmanship warranty. It is BBB Accredited, a National Glass Association member, a two-time Best of Georgia Glass Contractor (2024 and 2025), and Best of Houzz 2026. Apex also installs glass railings, glass partitions, and other architectural glass throughout Georgia. See more work on the Canton page.
